Heaven, it turns out, is a place on earth—and it’s in Paris, floating on the Seine.
To mark the beginning of haute couture fashion week, Dior Beauty took over a luxury yacht at Quai Henri IV and reimagined it into a floating spa and wellness destination, replete with a Dior-branded soaking pool, a roof deck for tanning, and four private treatment rooms where guests can book massages and facials. The Dior Spa Cruise, which is in its second year, is meant to bring holistic wellness to the French capital at an especially busy time for the fashion set.
Each cruise sets sail for about two hours, making a tour up and down the Seine where you can spot landmarks like Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. When booking, guests choose between the treatment cruise, which includes a one-hour body or facial treatment with a Dior specialist, and then an hour of relaxation on the sundeck, or the wellness cruise, which combines the one hour of relaxation on deck with one hour of a wellbeing activity, like pilates, yoga, or meditation. Each cruise has its own theme, including detox, balance, reverse-aging, power, and relaxation.
Some of the treatments offered include:
- Dior Prestige High Precision Facial: An enveloping and lifting high-precision massage redefining the facial contour, mouth, and eye areas. Tensions are eliminated, muscle support is reinforced and cellular regeneration is stimulated. A reverse aging experience, navigating in the heart of Paris.
- Dior Powered by Hydrofacial: Dior combines its Floral Science with cutting edge Hydrafacial technology in a treatment developed, for the first time experienced cruising on the Seine. Deep facial cleansing and exfoliation is boosted and completed by the Dior Floral Peeling Lotion. De-oxidized and hydrated skin returns to its naturally radiant state.
- New Look Massage: During a Parisian Cruise, the silhouette is redefined with this slimming and firming massage, concentrated on two selected areas with precise manual massage strokes and in-depth cutting-edge techniques, for an exceptional anti-cellulite action.
The cruise is designed to be a luxury treatment, so it will cost you a pretty penny—the wellness cruise starts at 280 euros (about $304), while the treatment cruise will run you 680 euros (about $738). But Instagramming from aboard a Dior-branded yacht set against the backdrop of Paris? Priceless.
