The 10 Best Dupes for the Viral Dior Lip Glow Oil

TikTok made me buy it.

A year ago, when I tried to buy the Dior Lip Glow Oil, it was sold out everywhere (annoying effects of going TikTok viral). While you can now purchase it more easily, some lip gloss connoisseurs lament that the product doesn’t live up to the hype. As gorgeous as the original Dior Lip Glow Oil is, a $40 price tag in this economy is a pretty expensive way to keep your lips hydrated and soft.

And lucky for you, you don’t have to—I’ve gathered some alternatives that are just as gorgeous and shiny at a more affordable price point (thank me later).

Whether you’re obsessed with the tint, glossy effects, or built-in hydrating ingredients, there are many products on the market rivaling Dior’s version. Some, dare I say it, are better than the original. ELLE Editors are particularly obsessed with Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil (which literally costs half the price) and we got all the details from Selena Gomez herself on the product, which she revealed took two years to create.

Affordable doesn’t mean lesser than, so if you want high shine at an affordable price, here are 10 dupes for the Dior Lip Glow Oil to help your pockets ride out this recession.

Selena Gomez is ensuring our lips are hydrated and silky, not sticky. Launching in 2023, these new tinted lip oils leave a nice, glossy sheen. However, if you are looking for pigment, most of the shades are subtle. Gomez exclusively shared with ELLE.com, “It’s different from other lip oils because the transformative texture is unlike anything I have experienced in a lip oil. When applied, it goes on like a jelly but transforms into a hydrating formula. It’s special! Most lip oils I have tried have a smaller shade range because it’s hard to develop, but it was really important to us to create a wide range that would be flattering for any skin tone.” Check out ELLE’s TikTok on the Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil to see it across various skin tones.

Gisou rating: 4.8/5 stars

A Gisou reviewer said: “This is actually an oil and not a gummy, sticky, gloss like most "lip oils" on the market right now. I have repurchased this product because of its results. The reason for four stars instead of five is because of the shedding applicator. A silicone one would solve this problem!”

Nordstrom rating: 4.2/5 stars

A Nordstrom reviewer said: “OMG...I’ve already worn 2 of the colors - Jaws (red color) & Jellyfish (clear color)..both wear beautifully on my skin tone (MAC - NC45), especially Jaws, it’s such a wearable red color that gives a pretty tint to the lip without being over the top & just brightens up my face...I’ll totally reach for it often given the ease of use! The shine from these glosses is AMAZING, feels luxurious like silk, and has absolutely NO heavy or sticky/tacky feeling, unfortunately, like the Pat McGrath mini glosses I have. The packaging is pure quality & just pretty; this is one gloss that you won’t lose in your bag since it’s not the standard gloss tube. I am ready to purchase MORE colors even though I just got the 2 colors I mentioned..it’s that GOOD, plus packed with clean & nourishing ingredients..it’s a WINNER!”
