In true Badgal style, Rihanna debuted her latest maternity bra style with a picture of her breastfeeding her son, RZA.
The Umbrella singer featured in a trio of images to her underwear brand Savage x Fenty’s official Instagram account, with the caption: 'Not ur mama's maternity bras...designed by @badgalriri, approved by baby RZA.’
Rihanna gave birth to RZA, her first child, in May 2022 and is expecting her second child with the rapper A$AP Rocky later this summer. She unveiled her second pregnancy during her five-time Emmy-nominated performance at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in February, with a representative later confirming the baby news to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rihanna debuted Savage x Fenty maternity wear in 2022, with a source close to the star telling HollywoodLife: ‘One thing Rihanna knows is that everybody is different, and you have to style yourself with what fits your body type. But of course, she sees it as an honour that she’s considered at the forefront of maternity fashion.’
In an interview with British Vogue for its May 2023 issue, the star discussed her pregnancy wardrobe. ‘I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,’ she said. ‘My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy? When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, ‘There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle.’ I’m sorry — it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.’
