This past weekend, on a warm, lavender-scented summer evening, Italian heritage brand Loro Piana hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate its resort 2023 collection—and the start of French chef Yann Nury’s summer pop-up—at Shelter Island Farm.
It was a night of firsts: the official kickoff of Nury’s seasonal residence at the property and Loro Piana’s debut of its newly launched Art de La Table collection.
The table was set with gorgeous cotton floral runners and embroidered linen napkins from the line. Specifically, the blue and white plates made of bone porcelain—the most prized, lightweight, and durable type of translucent white ceramic—each took approximately three days to make, and served as the perfect vessels for the seasonal courses that included grilled honey corn cake topped with blueberries and mint blossoms. With delicate floral-printed paper and wooden folding fans in hand, the perfectly on-brand fête culminated with a poolside night cap under the stars.
As expected, guests wore pieces from the brand’s latest collection, bringing its quiet luxury aesthetic to life. Will Arnett, Hannah Bronfman-Fallis, and Coco Bassey were among those in attendance. Click through our gallery below for a look at the ambiance and the best-dressed attendees.
