Instagram feeds get overwhelming, from the constant notifications that your ex-boyfriend liked your pictures (okay, so it was a thirst trap—sue me!) to those creepy fake pages flooding your follower list or the embarrassing comments your family members leave under your photos. But Instagram's newest feature can help you remove all of these nuisances with just a few simple clicks.
According to The Verge, Instagram is testing out a feature that gives a user control over who sees their profile by allowing them to remove followers from their feed. If you have been granted the capability to remove followers, you can go to your followers list, tap the three dots on the right side of the user's Instagram handle, and tap "Remove." The new function is less harsh than completely blocking someone, and Instagram won't tell the user that they've been axed from your followers list. However, if your page is private, then users will have to request to follow you again—that's where things could get awkward.
Instagram's latest innovation follows a popular Q&A feature update you might have seen plastered all over your friends' Instagram stories. On July 10, Instagram rolled out the interactive feature, which allows your followers to submit questions for you to answer publicly on your Instagram story (or privately, if you're feeling frisky).
